Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of our frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

  1. What information do you need to get a quote?
  2. Why did my bill go up?
What information do you need to get a quote?
The information varies depending on the type of insurance.  For personal auto, we need the names, dates of birth, social security numbers and license numbers for each driver as well as the VIN numbers of each vehicle, your address and the coverage you desire.  For homeowners, we need all of that same personal information as well as additional information about the home, such as square footage, age of roof, type of heating, etc.  For commercial insurance, much more information is required.  For life insurance, simply the name, date of birth, type of policy and face amount of coverage are needed.  Our agents are happy to work with you to get the best available quote for you!

Why did my bill go up?

Most insurance companies have one or two rate adjustments per year based on multiple economic factors such as actual claims experienced, inflation rate, etc.  In addition to incremental rate adjustments other individual factors such as traffic violations, accidents and claims, additions to your policy or changes in coverage may cause an increase in premium.  Your agent can help determine the cause of any increase and work with you as much as possible to help mitigate it.
